Sharing economy has been defined

2 of our researchers Steven Curtis and Matthias Lehner have worked on analysing existing studies to define the field of sharing economy. In January they have published their new study with the results shedding light on what sharing economy actually is. Steven has also wrote a blog post, where you can read more about the process.

Nvivo to help study urban sharing

Nvivo to help study urban sharing

On December 10, 2018 the URBAN SHARING team has organised a workshop about NVivo - a computer software used to assist researchers in qualitative content analysis. Steven Curtis led the workshop. The purpose of the workshop was to teach all the members of the team and other researchers at the IIIEE about Nvivo. Steven explained that the software is useful in analysing qualitative data in the form of text, images, video, and audio. The software allows for the systematic collection, analysis, and retrieval of data in a more effective and efficient manner. By using the learning-by-doing approach, Steven demonstrated some of the functions and features of NVivo using several articles about business models in the sharing economy. More about NVivo can be found here.
