From the 1st of March Ana María Arbeláez Vélez has joined URBAN SHARING team as a new PhD. She is interested in comprehending how to develop sustainable urban areas as she believes this is one of the cornerstones for sustainable development. Achievements in urban sustainability in one city can lead a way to create possibilities for reducing the impacts in other urban areas. Her research will be focused on quantifying the impacts shared economy has on the sustainability of cities.
Ana has a Master in Industrial Ecology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (2018). In her Master thesis she used a Multi-Regional Input and Output model to evaluate the impacts of trade on the gender equality of the labour force of several regions of the world. Her Bachelor was mainly focused on the economic sustainability of companies (Bachelor in Industrial Engineer).
