In October two Master students of Environmental Policy and Management (EMP) have defended their theses in the field of sharing economy.

Simo Sulkakoski wrote his thesis The Role of Municipality in the Sharing Economy - Governance Approaches in Malmö and Gothenburg, where he gives recommendations to municipalities on how to align sharing economy to their sustainability goals.

In her Wheels of Change - How are bike-sharing schemes and bike kitchens institutionalising collaborative consumption and production in Barcelona? Julia Winslow suggests that different stakeholders should get involved into the collaborative governance and decision-making to ensure that collaborative economy is developing in a sustainable manner.
