The Urban Sharing Team will lead a team of Master's students to Berlin to examine the role of the Sharing Economy in reducing waste in the city. As part of our ongoing research, in collaboration with students, we will host a workshop at Supermarkt Berlin exploring the above concept on April 6th from 13:00 - 16:00. The workshop will focus on the potential of sharing to prevent or divert waste. We are happy to have the support of Berlin-based sharing experts Ela Kagel and Thomas Dönnerbrink to support this workshop.

The discussion will revolve around three questions:

1) Can sharing help to reduce waste?
2) What are the key characteristics of organisations that promote sharing AND prevent waste?
3) What is the cause of excess waste?

Date: April 6, 2017
Time: 13:00 - 16:00
Location: Supermarket , Mehringplatz 9, 10969 Berlin

Admission is free. The workshop will be conducted in English.
